    • I would love to see Jodelle nominated for an Academy Award, because it is an extraordinary performance. It’s amazing! TERRY GILLIAM
    • Jodelle Ferland, who plays Jeliza-Rose, is breathtaking. She’s now 10 years old – she celebrated her birthday a couple of weeks ago. She’s in every single scene. Every day she’s working. She’s astonishing. I think she’s actually about 35 years old squished into this little 10-year-old body. Yesterday Janet McTeer was having to lift her up in a scene, and the kid was clearly much heavier than a child her size should be! She’s fantastic. TERRY GILLIAM

(About her performance in SILENT HILL)

    • In the role of the daughter Jodelle Ferland excels, proving to be every bit as creepy as needed in what becomes a dual role — her black eyes enough to make a grown man cower. -BRETT TROXLER
    • Jodelle Ferland, only 11 years old, and a seasoned pro in the horror films acted out some surprisingly good scenes. Jodelle has done such movies as They and playing the devil in a few television series, there wasn’t much of a crossover for her. The creepy kid never fails in a scary movie. The vision of an innocent kid being the ultimate evil just screams impiety and therefore perfect for such a movie. JOSH WILLIAMS
    • “The actors do admirably despite the script and of particular note is the performance of young Miss Ferland. She chews up the screen, appearing both vulnerable and disturbingly creepy (surely making a generation of adults think twice before having kids).” -UNKNOWN

      (About her performance in TIDELAND)

    • Whatever the audience’s interpretation of Tideland, there is no question Ferland carries the film with a performance well beyond her years. -KIERON LANG
    • Jodelle Ferland’s powerful performance gave me goosebumps.?B>-UNKNOWN
    • “Ferland, however, is phenomenal (you may remember her from Stephen King’s Kingdom Hospital). She’s so good, it almost hurts the film by making it even more difficult to watch her plight.” -PLANET SICK BOY
    • “Out of a good cast hamming it up by necessity to fit the pic’s fairy-tale vibe, young but already experienced thesp Ferland grounds the movie nicely with a piquant turn. Even when her character is play-acting at being mannered and self-conscious, Ferland’s perf remains spontaneous and natural.” -LESLIE FELPERIN
    • “Ferland’s face is beautifully expressive, she has a gifted voice (Born and raised in Vancouver, she adopted a Texas accent for her character, and uses fake accents for her dolls, giving each one unique life, but voiced as a child would do it), she handles the physicality of the role as well, running through endless fields of wheat. She also shows Jaliza-Rose to have a wisdom that is beyond her years, although not a precociousness. ” -ROLOTOMASI
    • “Ferland, who has to carry the film, is a remarkable talent, and Tideland often simply trips and tumbles along with her as she talks to herself and plays games. ” -BRIAN GIBSON
    • “Despite the strange scripting for this character, ten-year-old actress Jodelle Ferland does a fabulous job of playing her odd role. Her southern accent?lthough sometimes annoying?s flawless, and she accurately portrays the emotions and behaviors of a typical preteen. ” -JOEL TIEDEMANN
    • “…[Ferland] carries the movie with an Oscar-worthy performance. ” -JOHN LEKICH
