Its a period piece. It takes place in the 70s, which makes me feel very old (laughs). Jodelle [Ferland] plays the youngest daughter, who really is intellectualizing this movie from Brooklyn to New Orleans, which, again, in the 70s, is really much more fish out of water than it would be today. And sheÕs this smart little fourteen-year-old that really is so in love with watching her family, and all she cares about is to make this family happy and healthy as they should be. ItÕs through her voiceover that we establish the movie, in the beginning, and itÕs through her efforts that the movie reaches what we hope will be a very satisfying ending. ItÕs a small movie that, unlike a lot of small movies, has a beautiful arc. A lot of character development. And I will tell you that Chazz Palminteri and Andie MacDowell and Jodelle and Rainey [Qualley] really relate as a family, you really feel their connection. So that it does not feel like a cast but a family. ItÕs just through the eyes of a bright and sensitive 14-year-old dealing with a lot of family baggage.

Any word yet on release or distribution, or film festivals youre trying to get in?
Right now we are talking to some distributors that know the script, and like it, but we are really going to try toŃnot rush it in a bad way, but with our eye toward wanting to get this into Sundance. ThatÕs something we would like.

Jodelle Ferland is creating buzz as Bree Tanner in Eclipse, you know, the #1 movie in the country that we've all seen at least twice now. We caught up with the 15-year-old, who confessed she's on Team Edward "most of the time," on the phone last month and discovered that not only did she read all the Twilight books back-to-back, but she signed on for the role of Bree without even reading the script! We also asked her about her plans for the Eclipse premiere black carpet.

"Oh yeah, I have a dress ready," she told us before the premiere. "And I'm very excited for it. I always like to have a dress in my closet that I can just pull out in case of an emergency. I bought a dress a while ago and I'm pretty sure I don't have anything else I'll need a fancy dress for before the premiere so that could be what I'm wearing. It's a pretty light color."

Not sure if the dress in the photo above is the light-colored dress she was talking about, it's light underneath the black lace, or if she switched dresses at the last minute. Meet Jodelle Ferland, one of the newborn vampires in The Twilight Saga: Eclipse.
The 15-year-old actress says of her character Bree Tanner - Shes part of the army of newborn vampires and shes on the bad side but she doesnt want to be. Shes forced to be and doesnt understand it but it going along with it.

Jodelle continued Its sad because even though shes on the bad side shes a victim. She wants to be good, but no one gives her a chance.

Lastly, Jodelle went along to the Leo Awards last night looking fabulous in her blue dress, new pictures can be seen in the gallery, sadly Jodelle did not win her award, but hey, it wont be long until another nomination! 1. You have been acting since you were a little girl, what was the first project you remember filming?

im not exactly sure. I remember little bits of different projects I did when I was really young, but the first one that comes to mind would be a Pedialyte commercial I did when I was about 3 years old. I only had one line, it was, More Pedialyte, please!; and I held out a little cup with a big smile on my face. I remember that one really distinctly for some reason;I guess I must've had fun on set.

2. What has been your favorite project so far?

That's a really tough one! Most people would assume my favorite is ECLIPSE, but Im not sure if that’s what I’d pick, actually. I did a TV movie called CELINE a few years ago, where I played a young Celine Dion. It was really fun, and I had such a great time filming. I didn't actually get to sing in it, but that's still one of my favorites so far.

3. How were you inspired to become an actress?

Well, since I started acting when I was 2 years old, I wasn't really "inspired". My brother and sister used to do acting, and honestly, I don't even remember, but apparently I found it very interesting! My mom took me to the agency and I started out with commercials and now here I am today.

Once again we find ourselves in the unpleasant position of having to inform you of the loss of one of our wonderful guests. Due to work commitments the lovely Jodelle Ferland has had to withdraw from our Sydney and Perth 2010 events, and she sends her sincere apologies to all of her fans that she is unable to attend. The culprit is none other than her amazing talent as Jodelle has been cast in the feature, ŌMighty FineÕ, that is filming in New Orleans June 8th to July 20th. Mighty Fine is a movie about a man named, Joe Fine, who suffers from Bi-Polar disorder and his family as they decide to relocate from BrooklynÕs Pitkin Avenue to the suburbs of New Orleans, hoping for a fresh start. However, it soon becomes clear that a change in environment canÕt change Joe and the battle he has with his psyche

So even though she wont be appearing at the expo, Jodelle will be working hard on this brand new project that we are super duper excited about! Hopefully we will have some more information on her character soon! Thats all for now, Take Care Guys!
